Full Cold Moon

• The Full Cold Moon; or the Full Long Nights Moon – December

 During this month the winter cold fastens its grip, and nights are at their longest and darkest. It is also sometimes called the Moon before Yule. The term Long Night Moon is a doubly appropriate name because the midwinter night is indeed long, and because the Moon is above the horizon for a long time. The midwinter full Moon has a high trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun.- Farmer's Almanac

Full Beaver Moon

• Full Beaver Moon – November 

This was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Full Beaver Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now actively preparing for winter. It is sometimes also referred to as the Frosty Moon.- Farmer's Almanac

Full Moon, Blue Moon!

The glorious blessing of two full moons in one month! Oh the magickal fun we can have! Thank you, Mother Moon for all the energy and comfort you bring me.

For more than half a century, whenever two full Moons appeared in a single month (which happens on average every 2 1/2 to 3 years), the second has been christened a "Blue Moon." In our lexicon, we describe an unusual event as happening "Once in a Blue Moon." This expression was first noted back in 1821 and refers to occurrences that are uncommon, though not truly rare.- Farmer's Almanac
