A Wedding... Finally

Well today I'm getting married on SL.  Renewing vows really.  Rikk and I are celebrating our RL anniversary and figured we would get married on SL too. So many people have touched our lives in SL and we wanted to have a big party.  I wanted a medieval theme since he is the Archknight.  Roleplay it up!! He was going to ask me to marry him but he wanted it to be a perfect proposal. Take me on top of the Knights Quarters, get on the proposal poseball and express his undying love for me.  He had 4 pages of notecards filled and it was never enough. I told him I didn't need a proposal- I know his heart. So let's just do this. And we are. :-)

I joined the game Assassin's Grid with some of my SL friends today.  As a proper introduction to the game Slaveternal killed me as soon as I put on the HUD. You get to choose your death animation so here is one of the "Gruesome" ones.

Keith had us all get the Spellfire 2 HUD and try out the game.  I was given the title Grand Apothecary (healer) for our group.  Our lands were called Erengard.  He created an area on their lands where we could do the gathering skills like mine rocks and gather water.  Somehow this outfit just didn't quite fit in with the roleplay aspects! haha

Bloodlines Bar and Gratitude

Otis and Kumani invited me to join them at the Bloodlines Bar for drinks recently. As we sat and talked we couldn't help but laugh at the animations our avatars were doing.  Kumani chose the seat with the "smashing glass to forehead" animation.  Mine had a more subtle "splash over the top of the head" animation and Otis had none at all. As we sat and enjoyed each other's company, vamps came and went buying Blood Shots to survive.

We met a female vamp who was obviously taken for her soul and turned way too early. She commented she only wanted to be a doll but her liege insisted she be a vamp right away. She was struggling to learn to hunt, to feed, and to learn the game.  Otis and Kumani told her I could help her, teach her, and feed her.  Sadly though, she was off to trick someone else by using sexual favors to feed.  She had been used from the beginning and did not know any different. These turn and burn vamps are used and left alone. She will most likely go destroyed, quit when it becomes too frustrating, and her soul sold or traded. Those are some of the realities of Bloodlines.

I am so grateful I joined Divine Blood. The classes they offered were so helpful to me. And now, coming full circle, I teach those classes. Or as my good friend told me,"Freya we don't teach. We share our passion."

Keith and Krista graciously offered me a skybox on their lands.  This is the result after a searching my inventory for low prim furniture.  The little table and chair set is new (L$4) as well as the side table and display table ($L1 each).

New Year

Well it seems some things are coming full circle.  Many of the old friends that had left the clan for greener pastures are back again.  I really like this feeling of contentment.  As if some of the cousins that ran off and got married are now back home and we are almost complete. Or so if feels that way to me.

  I have been neglecting my blog.  The holidays and new adventures on SL are keeping me busy.  I will work on organizing my photos and my thoughts in the coming days. Above is a photo of my new favorite people, Kumani.  I will introduce her to you in a blog entry all her own in a few days.  Hope your new year is joyful.
