I was not familiar with many Quentin Tarantino films.  I had seen Pulp Fiction and that was about it.   I figured most of the girls would dress as The Bride from Kill Bill and wanted to be original. I researched his films, reviewed the female characters and liked the fact this one was a vampire.  I put together my own costume and went to the event. (I tried to make the headdress but ran out of time). The next day I decided to watch a clip from the movie and nearly died of embarrassment.  I mean, I knew she was hot and danced with a snake... but holy crap! Had I known she was such a seductress I would have never had the guts to wear this outfit!

Sandy & Frenchie= Secret Lesbian Lovers?

Not really, just no boys to dance with at the Grease Event.  Daisy is one of the most phenomenal, talented, funny women I have ever had the privledge to meet.  As Crown Princess she is very busy, so I rarely see her. Lately, our paths have crossed more often and I couldn't be more delighted. We hopped on the jitterbug dance balls and felt each other up. <3

Outfit of the Day 10-10-10 and my Rez Day Party

Lara created a magical wonderland for a surprise rez day party for me. When the notice went out I was overwhelmed by the gesture.

The well wishes and words of kindness from my friends and clan members was overwhelming. Slave dedicated a song to me, "She's Always A Woman to Me".  Rikk danced with me and reminded me how much I am loved. It was almost surreal.  I did not want to enter the contest but was threatened by Lara, Cari, and Audrey. LOL I won the contest and donated the monies to King Darrell for the land tiers.  Irish had a fantastic playlist that everyone loved. After the decorations were taken down and a few of us remained on the platform Cari rezzed a giant unicorn for me. haha

Bowling and Outfit of the Day 9-29-10

I was invited to go bowling with my friends and minions, Cateyes911 and Lou. They were already at the bowling alley having fun with their kids and minions Slik, Alegra, Ivonna and Yves.  Pretty soon Starlight joined us as well. While Cat was teaching Starlight to play Lou taught me. I had a fantastic time learning to play and bowling three games.  I did better in SL than I do real life! Lou teased me about wearing my high heels to bowl in. I actually do have bowling shoes, but this is SL afterall, I can play in stilletos if I want to!

Bon Voyage My Friends

One of the realities of gaming is not everyone stays. People come, people go. You make friendships, you make connections. But in the end, people make their own way just as in real life.  Sometimes they want to create their own clan and try things on their own. They take their "families" with them sometimes. Most times. Yes, this is a game. Being a vampire or a werewolf/lycan is only a game. We play the game and collect souls, hunt for minions, drink blood or lumens, make Mars Bracken richer by buying the goods he supplies necessary to play the Bloodlines game.  We are completely and totally superficial when it comes to our avatars looking incredible unless we crash and come back as a cloud or even worse, a noob. Beyond that is the connections you make with other people from around the world. You get a sense for who is genuine behind that avatar.  And when they leave, it hurts. Oh you can still talk to them in IM's or hang out.  But the day to day connection is gone.

We had three groups leave to create their own clans within the last week. I bid them well and hope they succeed. We shall recover as we have before but I will miss them. It's never easy. I bid you a fond farewell Winterwolf, Humbridge and Stratten families. Thanks for the memories.
